Wildbase Recovery

Massey University and Palmerston North City Council

The Central Energy Trust Wildbase Recovery project includes:

Award-winning facility for rehabilitation of native New Zealand bird (and some lizard) rehabilitation, education and conservation messaging
Education center with interactive displays and views into a veterinary procedure room
Breeding aviaries for captive breed-and-release programs
Walk-through aviary for permanent residents
Rehabilitation aviaries
Art and sculptures from local artists
